WEEK 3 - DAY 2

TOPIC: Images, Composition and Meaning

ACTIVITY 1:

Search the Getty images site for 5 images that you think best represent your educational experience, select one image for each of the following categories (please use royalty free images):

  • TIME: Select an image that best describes your ability to re-organizing life to fit into academic life.
  • PLACE: Select an image that represents a place to study that is free from distractions and is comfortable
  • CHANGE: Select an image that represents how you feeling about being back at school and the change in routine?
  • SOCIAL: Select an image that represents how you feel about being part of a classroom and school environment?
  • THINKING: Select an image that represents your mental capacity for learning, is it being challenged are you confident with your abilities?

Right click and save each image to your PICTURE folder on the hard drive. NOTE: These images are royalty free, meaning copy right laws are in effect, these images should not be posted online. They will be used as composition samples.

ACTIVITY 2: Make a new Google Document and create a 2 column table, in the first column INSERT the image you copied from Getty Images, in the other column provide a title of your image and a description of why you choose these images.
